Stop using generic restaurant checklists that don't fit how a scoop shop actually runs.

Most operations templates online are built for cafés, fast-casual restaurants, or full-service kitchens. None of them account for what an ice cream shop actually deals with every day — cabinet temperature monitoring, freezer burn inspections, FIFO rotation across 20 dipping positions, cross-contact allergen risk, or seasonal flavor calendars.

This bundle fixes that. Ten professionally designed Excel templates, built specifically for scoop shops, soft-serve operators, and artisan ice cream retailers.

What's Inside (10 Templates, One Workbook)

1. Opening Checklist — 30+ pre-built tasks organized by zone (Exterior, Equipment, Food Safety, Prep, POS, Final Check). Includes initial fields and supervisor sign-off.

2. Closing Checklist — 35+ tasks covering customer wrap-up, equipment shutdown, deep cleaning, cash drop, and lock-up procedures.

3. Daily Temperature Log — Log open, midday, and closing temps across 11 units: dipping cabinets, soft-serve hoppers, walk-in freezer, reach-in coolers, and shake mix cooler. Includes a weekly summary grid for compliance tracking.

4. Dipping Cabinet Rotation Schedule — Track flavors across 20 cabinet positions. Includes batch numbers, open dates, estimated empty dates, and FIFO rotation rules built specifically for ice cream tubs.

5. Allergen Tracking Sheet — 30+ flavors and toppings mapped against all 9 FDA major allergens, plus Vegan and Gluten-Free indicators. Pre-populated with common defaults so you only edit what's different.

6. Flavor Rotation Calendar — 12 months pre-loaded with seasonal flavor suggestions (winter, spring, summer, fall) including core flavors, seasonal specials, sorbets, and LTO promo slots.

7. Staff Training Checklist — 8 training modules covering food safety, ice cream knowledge, equipment operation, customer service, POS, and SOPs. 50+ topics with trainer + trainee sign-off.

8. Daily Waste Log — 30-row entry form for tracking discarded product, with a 12-month rollup to identify waste patterns and reduce cost.

9. Master Cleaning Schedule — Daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly tasks coded by frequency. Covers everything from cabinet gaskets to coil cleaning.

10. Incident Report Form — Structured form for customer injuries, allergen events, equipment failures, and food safety incidents. Includes root cause and corrective action fields.

Why This Beats Generic Templates

  • Ice cream-specific terminology — cabinets, hoppers, hardening, overrun, FIFO rotation
  • FDA-aligned food safety standards — Big-9 allergens, temperature danger zone, cross-contact protocols
  • Real cabinet positions and unit types — not adapted from a sandwich shop template
  • Pre-populated with realistic defaults — saves hours of setup time
  • Print-ready — landscape orientation, frozen header rows, page-fit setup applied
  • Editable in Excel, Google Sheets, or Numbers — use however your team works

Who This Is For

  • Independent scoop shop owners
  • Soft-serve and frozen yogurt operators
  • Artisan and gelato shop founders
  • Multi-location ice cream brands setting up new stores
  • Operations managers replacing inconsistent paper checklists
  • New owners opening their first store who need SOPs from day one

What You'll Get

Learn a little about Secret Creamery

We are Vegas Ice Cream

Vegas is home to so many. Each of us has a story, and our story is told through ice cream. From the locally sourced Nevada milk, to supporting local bakeries, printing companies, and more, Secret Creamery embodies what it means to be Vegas Born.

We bring that all to life with unique flavors, small-batch artisan quality, and a dedication to making the best ice cream we can.

High Quality Ingredients

Our committment to quality runs deep and is part of what we founded the company on.

We use only the highest quality ingredients, including our fruit flavors. We use a pasteurized fruit puree, not just a "flavoring." Our cheese flavors use imported cheeses, like our soft goat chevre for our Blueberry Goat Cheese flavor.

Taking Ice Cream Home

One of the hallmarks of our ice cream is not adding in additional stablizers, but that does pose a SLIGHT problem. Our ice cream tends to melt quickly.

We do ask if you want to enjoy our ice cream in the comfort of your own home, please bring insulated containers with ice bricks. We do some times have ice bricks we provide at no charge, but those are on a limited basis.

Small batches, everytime

Theres two main ways to make ice cream, either in a batch freezer, or a continuious line freezer.

While we love to nerd out about ice cream science, we use the batch freezing method. It allows us to have much better granular control over the content of the ice cream, and is generally regarded as the gold standard in ice cream manufacturing.
