Finally — A Launch Guide Built for Ice Cream Brands

Generic CPG launch guides skip the parts that matter most when you're selling frozen dessert. They don't account for cold chain logistics. They don't cover health department sampling rules. They don't tell you which farmer's markets allow dairy vendors or how much dry ice you need for an 8-hour market day.

This playbook does.

The Ice Cream Brand Launch Playbook is a complete, ready-to-use Word document built specifically for artisan ice cream makers, scoop shop founders, and frozen dessert entrepreneurs launching their first brand. Every chapter is tuned to the operational realities of ice cream — from NSF equipment requirements to freezer-grade label adhesion to the specific buying rhythms of specialty grocers and local cafes.

What's Inside

Chapter 1: Foundation Before You Launch Licensing checklists (state dairy license vs. health permit), production capacity planning, the 3-flavor launch formula, and brand essentials — including the freezer-grade label adhesion warning that saves new brands hundreds in failed print runs.

Chapter 2: Soft Launch Strategy Cold chain stress-testing protocol, 5-question feedback form template, and a go/no-go decision matrix to know when your product is ready for public launch.

Chapter 3: Farmer's Market Setup & Sampling Logistics Complete NSF equipment list, health department sampling rules for ice cream specifically, market-day timeline, and realistic revenue benchmarks by market type.

Chapter 4: Your First Wholesale Account Account targeting matrix, 5-step acquisition process, sample drop package checklist, and a pricing template with margin structure that works for both you and your retail partner.

Chapter 5: Instagram Launch Playbook 30-day pre-launch content sequence, ice cream photography setup, caption formula, and engagement targets for your first month.

Chapter 6: Building Your Email List Pre-Launch Sign-up offers that actually work for food brands, capture channels, a 3-email nurture sequence with subject lines, and platform comparisons (Mailchimp, Klaviyo, ConvertKit, Flodesk).

Chapter 7: Your 100-Customer Tracker Trackable customer log, milestone review questions, and a roadmap for scaling from 100 to 1,000 customers.

Appendix: Templates, Checklists & Scripts First 100-day master checklist, wholesale cold outreach email template, market-day sampling script, and brand story fill-in template.

Who This Is For

  • Artisan ice cream makers launching their first brand
  • Scoop shop founders building a packaged pint line
  • Frozen dessert entrepreneurs (gelato, sorbet, frozen yogurt, vegan pints)
  • Pastry chefs transitioning into branded retail products
  • Food entrepreneurs who've outgrown generic launch templates

Why This Playbook Pays for Itself

One avoided mistake — a failed label print run, a rejected wholesale pitch, a market day where your product melts because you underestimated dry ice — costs more than this guide. The cold chain stress-test alone has saved brands from launching with a quality issue they didn't know existed.

Learn a little about Secret Creamery

We are Vegas Ice Cream

Vegas is home to so many. Each of us has a story, and our story is told through ice cream. From the locally sourced Nevada milk, to supporting local bakeries, printing companies, and more, Secret Creamery embodies what it means to be Vegas Born.

We bring that all to life with unique flavors, small-batch artisan quality, and a dedication to making the best ice cream we can.

High Quality Ingredients

Our committment to quality runs deep and is part of what we founded the company on.

We use only the highest quality ingredients, including our fruit flavors. We use a pasteurized fruit puree, not just a "flavoring." Our cheese flavors use imported cheeses, like our soft goat chevre for our Blueberry Goat Cheese flavor.

Taking Ice Cream Home

One of the hallmarks of our ice cream is not adding in additional stablizers, but that does pose a SLIGHT problem. Our ice cream tends to melt quickly.

We do ask if you want to enjoy our ice cream in the comfort of your own home, please bring insulated containers with ice bricks. We do some times have ice bricks we provide at no charge, but those are on a limited basis.

Small batches, everytime

Theres two main ways to make ice cream, either in a batch freezer, or a continuious line freezer.

While we love to nerd out about ice cream science, we use the batch freezing method. It allows us to have much better granular control over the content of the ice cream, and is generally regarded as the gold standard in ice cream manufacturing.
